A small change in plans...

Claudine Hellmuth will unfortunately not be able to join us a Mixed Minded this year.
I know I will miss her sweet style and personality at the event BUT, I know that we'll be able to get her here another time -- perhaps at an in studio event. *smile*

Without further ado ... here are the new 2011 classes

Life Lived - by Karen Ellis
Friday May 27, 2011 (6:30 - 9:30pm) - $50

Life certainly needs to be lived... and Karen needs to create something with a little "drippage"!

Create this 12x12, ready to hang, canvas by layering a little Graphic 45 papers, Acrylic Paints and Crackle Medium. LOVE the crackle medium by Viva Decor - and we know you will too! For an extra added flare, create some quaint flowers using vintage book text and a little twine.... Fabulous!

Class participants will be required to bring their acrylic paints and brushes. All other materials will be supplied. More information will be on the Supply List when you register

Fashionista Mermaids - A Character Constructions Art Doll Class

I asked myself why, grown women like myself want to play with paper dolls and to that I answered, to nurture their Inner Child. ~ Catherine Moore

The goal of this workshop is to inspire and encourage you to create your own unique Fashionista Mermaid Art Paper Doll.

We will be creating with stamped images from Character Constructions to be assembled onto a free standing vintage spindle.
We will also explore basic face technique's ; colouring, building, layering

Workshop fee includes - Material kit and instruction sheet and a chance to win one of Laura's created art paper dolls...will you be the winner ? More information will be on the Supply List when you register.

Always Flowers Canvas

This fun 12x12 ready to mount Wood Canvas is an image transferer's dream. We will be doing transfers with Claudine Hellmuth's Matte Multi Medium, painting with her Acrylic Studio Paints and... Karen will show you how to created some fabulous 3D flowers using Corrugated Cardboard and Toilet Paper Rolls for a super cute floral feature.

Hope you can join us - transfer beginners welcome! This is something for everyone.

Class participants are to bring their Studio Paints, Medium and brushes (paints can be substituted), (Optional - Calligraphy Nib and favourite India Ink for the words). All other materials will be provided
